Most frams are .50-80cents at tractor supply including tough guard. Someone casually dropped this info when asking for a date code in the filter section so I checked it out and herehere’s the thread.

Any oil on clearance? I'm down to my last $14.99 jug of PPP 5w-30 from TS. Have to pass on the Fram.

That 9688 for $.50 is a screaming deal. May have to check them out.

Check the filters before walking out.

The 3387a that were on the shelf were older than original sin, and most had 50%+ rust and corrosion on the exposed metal areas.

Good advice, but mine were all good. No rust, and all the correct part numbers for the correct boxes. I got 2 each of 3 different filters and everything looked tip top. The boxes were a little worse for the wear but the filters themselves look fine. If they'd had more, I would've bought more. But I got everything that they had that fit any of my vehicles.

It was strange that 2 of the cartridge filters I got (same part number) looked different but were both the correct part number. See my thread here: https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthr...ter#Post4593948

They might be a few years old, but I normally buy OEM filters by the case and they are several years old by the time I use them. All media is in great shape and doesn't appear to be dry/brittle or anything like that. No rust on the canister filters I bought either.

Not a lot of selection at mine.


Cheapest shelf price was $1.99, no idea what it would ring up as. No filters I could use.

They were marked with the sale price at my TSC. Mine also had a much larger selection that the user above. The one in Waco TX had probably 5-6x as much shelf space dedicated to filters.

It was a little picked over when I went on Monday, but I still was able to find 6 filters I could use for my vehicles.
