I can't imagine "holding my breath" for 19 hours and 35 minutes.
Simply amazing. Congratulations to the crew that built that amazing spacecraft.

Compliments of Wernher Von Braun! Father of NASA, via Operation Paper Clip. Voyager 1 is the first man made object to enter Inter Stellar Space. We are finally exiting our little bubble (Heliosphere). Maybe our great grandchildren will get pics of the Oort Cloud. (Theory)

Respectfully,

Pajero!

I did not realize Voyager 1 was still communicating, let alone responding to telemetry. WOW ! Thank you. Rick in PA.

Ed Stone might not share your opinion about Mr. Von Braun.

The power comes from a thermal radioactive decay. It has a half life of 88 years so the thermopile is not as hot, and some experiments have already been shut down. In another 10 to 30 years the thermopile output will be insufficient to keep things heated up and on. They are already rationing power The probe will then enter cold storage never to run again. cry Ort cloud pictures are simply not possible.
