Anybody have a good system for storing Fasteners ? ? ?.
You know, all the Bolts Nails, Screws, etc that you want to save for a future job,
and to have on hand to save a trip to the Hardware Store.

This is my system that has worked good for me over the years.
Occasionally I go thru it and update what I need or don't need.
The small boxes in each drawer are: 1 quart milk containers.

Wow. That's impressive. You must drink a lot of milk.

I just go to Home Depot and save myself the aggravation of looking but not finding what I need in my home stash of fasteners.

Mine's one of these from Eastwood

, then a few other drawers. But, I'm not a pro, so I'm not restocking with the money-saving 100 packs. I just don't have to add many fasteners to the car; in southern California they just last forever.

That was my Dad's method.

Even better, he could dump the can out and pick the exact size of nut/bolt/screw that he needed on the first try. Every single time.
