Peak Motor Oil $3.60, Peak High Mileage $3.75. Must purchase two to get discount. Good though 12/02/17

Peak Oil BOGO Free.

Pretty decent for the high mileage if it's synthetic blend.

>$2 a quart for conventional ain't too shabby either.

I'm still full to the brim with synthetic at $2 a quart.

They used to include Mercon/Dexron oil, but I guess that is now off the list.
Still a good buy....if your store has any left on the shelf by the time you get there. All employees I've ever talked to won't go into inventory to see if there's any more available when the shelf is empty.
(Been there, done that)

Be SURE to check the oil specs. Some oils at dollar stores are not rated for Automobiles or do not meet spec for new cars. Buyer Beware.

To be clear, the topic Peak branded/labeled oil sold at DG has never been of suspect spec. Buy with confidence. Likely most similar to/same as WPP made Super Tech oil.

The off topic reference to DG labeled oil, a completely different product.

DG did get in big trouble a couple of years ago for bad oil. They were selling API SB oil! Several people had blown engines and started a class action suit. They settled it, and paid millions. Now every bottle there has “API SN/GF-5” in big letters on the front. I think the new oil is made by Warren. They even have a HM version now.

All of that oil had a DG store label on it. So nothing to do with Peak oil.

I wasn’t disagreeing. Peak is good oil; I’ve used it in my mowers.

So do you think there is a single member on this site that doesn't check the spec of the oil they put in their car? (Especially PEAK oil, an SN-rated oil, and the only oil they put on BOGO specials.....)

I still have Peak from two years ago when Big Lots and Dollar General did a BOGO. Got it for $1.50 a quart. Thought I would use it for top off but none of my vehicles use oil between changes. I guess I'll pass (reluctantly) this time...
