STP or Lucas Which will blow up first?

But what does all this no oil running mean??? No useful info to me at all. I've used STP before in a engine to get oil pressure up but that's all, and it did get the oil pressure up. Waste of time and money.

He needed a control engine with neither stp or Lucas in it. Still the Lucas ran 21 minutes to the 12 minutes of the STP. That’s interesting that there was a difference at all.

He has the control in this video. 10:16 onward.

The control engine died at 38 minutes 6 seconds with straight 10w30 oil.

Neither one would blow your engine up if used as directed. Both are probably Ok as a top off, and would improve viscosity (and some of the additives) of a depleted, sheared down oil. That would buy you a little time to do an OC soon.

Personally, I would much rather top off with a SAE 30wt. or SAE 40wt.

It's interesting though that the Bestline treated motor oil engine ran for as long as it did in comparison. (2nd video)

It died at 71 minutes even!

If for some reason you have one of these additives in your engine and run out of oil you have less of a chance of it surviving. Also was interesting to see the air bubbles in his wear testing. Just interesting... Nothing scientific.
