I've borrowed this picture from a local vinyl collector group, as it shows his setup:


Turntable is a Kronos Sparta, which seems very unique, having two platters, with the lower one spinning counter to the top one. The developer has a patent filed with respect to this as it allows for full suspension but without the muddiness purportedly imposed by the tendency for a suspended turntable to develop due to the direction of rotation of the mass.

The price is, well, incredible. And this is not their most expensive product.

It would seem the pursuit of analog perfection is indeed still alive and well

Analog perfection: Spending more on equipment to repreoduce the sound than the studio spent on equipment to initially record the sound.
