Drained the oil yesterday . Wished to replace the rubber gasket on the drain plug .

All the online parts places list the drain plug as 14 -1.5 . Wrong , it is 12 - 1.75 .

O'Reilly store in town found the gasket for me . :)

Best wishes , :)

I was experiencing a leak , either at the oil filter plastic " cap " or at the drain plug . I was trying to be pro-active .

Thanks , :)

I figured it was just an o-ring . No , it was a " flat " rubber washer . We will see how well it works ......

+1 or you can buy in bulk online OEM for less.

Is the sonic the car with the 10 or 12mm bolt and it's straight up and down? If so I have rounded so many of those off at Walmart. Those bolts are made of some super soft metal. We always replace them with a dorman plug, they never strip like the OEM ones.
