I just picked up some Toyota 0w-20 and the price has finally broken the $6.00/litre mark - it is now Cdn$6.01/litre. Still the best everyday price for a synthetic oil. This is my 19th oil change using Toyota 0w-20. My 2010 RAV4 4-cylinder now has 205,000 km. I intend to run it to 400k. Fingers crossed.

Pennzoil Platinum is a better deal when on sale at CDN Tire. $28 for 5L..if there is a rebate it is even less.

400K kms ?!?...pffttt...I'll be there next year...child's play for PP.

248K (miles) is not really all that far. Should do that without a problem depending the type of driving..

The question isn't "will the engine and oil handle it"?

it's more like:
"will the rest of the vehicle be able to handle it??"

That is pretty cheap converted to USD.
Nothing wrong with TGMO, but far from the best 0W-20 one could buy.

With all the dexos G2 reformulating going on, it will be hard to tell. I think Mobil1 makes it for the US market, not sure of the Canadian market but I suspect Petro Canada.

At one time it was a high moly high boron oil. I think that has changed unless you get the Idemitsu made stuff for the Japan domestic market.
