I have leftover from my ride on transmission fill. Mobil 1 V-Twin oil. I use it to lube up garage door springs, it is great stuff. Thinking of using it next year for my new to me Honda engine pushmower. I have 5w30 in there now for the colder days, and I want to change soon(for use next year) so it cleans out that black stuff that I found it with.

Manual says 10W30, so this is a bit thicker than what is suggested.

It's probably a little thick. Might require extra pulls. I would use 5w30 or 10w30.

20w50 is out of spec for this Honda engine. If you don't mind causing extra wear/damage, go for it.

Currently running 20w50 VR1 in a pressure washer Honda 160 here.
No ill effects.

You will not know for many years unless you have scanning electron microscope,

It's freakin' oil for a hot running air cooled Honda engine. You could run any 30 weight or thicker.... you could run Vasoline and be just fine.

People on here can be so freakin retarded. Seriously, run whatever you want.

The amount of bad advice and mindless repeating parrots on here is astounding.

It might be a little stiff to pull start on a cold day with 20w50, but otherwise, it will do fine with it. If this engine was on a generator, water pump or pressure washer in a very hot/humid climate, I wouldn't hesitate to use 20w50 all the time.

My GXV 160 manual specs 30, 10W-30,10W-40, 15W-40, 20W-50 and 15W-50 in a chart.

I'm running 20W-50 and 15W-50 for many years now and about 1,500 hours on the motor and it's like new.
