This is my first post here. Both of these filters came off of the same 2016 LML Duramax. The PF2232 is the original factory filter that was used for the first OCI for this truck. The truck was bought brand new in late December 2016, the 23th IIRC. The OLM was ran to 0% for each OCI. The Mobil 1 (M1-303A) filter is a better looking filter to me, but I don't see any issues using the ACDelco filter for a full OCI. I didn't count the pleats, but the M1-303A obviously has the most pleats. The Mobil 1 filters are about $10 and the AcDelco is about $7. All of the grit on top of the filters is from cutting the filter canister open with a cutoff wheel and angle grinder.

The PF2232 was in service for 7,684 miles and 534.5 hours. OLM=0% (Oil and Filter changed on 5/27/17 with Delo 400 SDE (CK-4) 15w40 and an M1-303A)

The M1-303A was ran along with Delo 400 SDE (CK-4) 15w40 (2 quarts added during OCI, which included a lot of heavy towing) from 5/27/17 to 10/31/17 for 7,404 miles and 491.8 hours. OLM=0%. (15,088 miles and 1,026.3 hours total on truck)

The current oil and filter in the truck is Delo 400 SDE (CK-4) 15w40 with a PF2232.

One thing I got edumakated here on what not to get fooled by judging a filter solely by the number of pleats. Look at the depth of the pleats as well. You are looking for total surface area of filter material. You probably know this already but someone else may not.

The filters look the same to me, except for the media and center tube, aren't the Mobil 1 filters made by champion labs?

I pulled a Baldwin B1441 off of my LLY duramax at 10K a couple months ago. I was impressed with the thickness of the steel and the general construction, from your pictures it appears the Baldwin was a little heavier and had similar media pleats to the Mobil. I have a few Hastings that I got on clearance and am looking forward to using them.
