plus the $2/qt rebate that SOPUS is offering, making the final price $2.99/qt

Priced near what Walmart charges, but you can get the easier-to-pour, more convenient, single quart bottles, and you don't have to go to Walmart, for the people who don;t like that store.

And while you're there, you can pick up a quality Wix-made Napa filter. If I used PP, I would buy it at Napa during the sale smile

At the WalMart near me today, PP was $6.87 a quart. No price reduction here.

Yes but they have Valvoline-Full-Synthetic-with-Max-Life-Technology in about 4 or 5 weights for $21.97.

I was in WM today. PP jugs were $22.47 (4.49/qt). $2.49 after rebate. I can deal with handling a 5 qt jug vs. a 1 qt. In fact draining one 5 qt jug is a lot simpler than dealing with 5 separate quarts and caps.
