Amazon still has better prices? But hey, knock yourself out with that.

Uhmm, no.....you can't say that across the board. Using that coupon I just ordered a new set of front Catch-It floor mats for my SUV. From AAP with coupon for $75.61 delivered (including sales tax.) I'll get 8% back for linking out through BeFrugal and $5 in SpeedPerks. Identical mats from Amazon are $98.60 delivered with tax with no ability to earn a referral site rebate.

So you are not even close to being correct, but hey, knock yourself out with that.

I try not to have to buy $ 100 worth of parts at one time .

I picked up some brake fluid & gear oil Thursday . Ordered online from AAP & used a 20% discount code .

nice find on the 40 off 100. Glad to see AAP is back up to 8% through befrugal. They were getting cheap there for a while down to 3%. I guess AAP is starting to come around to the coupon crowd again. Margins are thinner, but better than no margin at all.

So, I'm sure that advanced auto has some deals with these coupons.

But I just had an experience where I was going to buy spark plugs on Advance and they were about 25% more expensive than Autozone (not to mention 40% more than Rockauto). I thought I would waste time trying to get them to price match, but because Advance has a limited lifetime warranty they basically won't match any other prices. This seems like a huge sham and these coupons only get you back to what might be the same price as everyone else.

Weird. I recently had a customer come in for spark plugs. He was quoted $9.99 a piece at O'Reilly's. AAP was $9.19 or something like that plus coupon. I got them mad cheap. I have no complaints.

Certain things are good with the discount, others not so much. I think I've used them on brake pads. They were cheaper with the code at Advance than Amazon. Other things like struts were so overpriced that using a coupon code had no effect and it didn't come close to beating mail order prices even with the code. They must price certain items by how likely people are to need it right away vs waiting for mail order. I normally shop rockauto, specialty sites that cater to a particular manufacturer, Amazon and the local stores like Advance and Autozone. Amazon is in the mix, but they seem to be the cheapest only about 1/3 to 1/4 of the time so you can't always assume they're better. Plus their search for parts is horrible, rockauto is much better. Amazon also had a big and may still have a big problem with fake parts. I won't buy Xenon lights from them because of their habit in the past of mixing their inventory with 3rd party sellers. Even if you buy it from Amazon, you may end up with a fake and you won't know it til it's installed and have problems.

True that, was getting ready to pull the trigger on Moog end links, still cheaper on the Big A even after 40% off.

Was still many dollars cheaper to buy a battery at Costco.
Interstate Group 35 $73.99, 42month warranty.

Hard to beat Amazon or RockAuto, usually, even with 40% off!
