Any advice on the best Fram filter for the stock 350 in the 1979 Corvette?

Which ever one you pickup as the best oil filter is the air filter.

How long of an OCI are you planning?

3-5K = Extra Guard
5-10K = Tough Guard
10K++ = Ultra Guard

car is parked and only started once a month so it is more of a time issue than miles which it rarely leaves the garage. Also what is the AC Delco oil filter for this Corvette?

In that case, any oil filter off the shelf at Walmart will be fine. Grab a SuperTech.

Sure, I see no issues with it considering the engine will see 12 hours at most for the year.

Be careful recommending that mileage. The stock '79 Corvette uses a carburetor, not fuel injection.

If you consider yourself a purist, get the AC Delco.

If not, just about any other filter on the market will work for your use.

Fram and WIX make some good ones.

Skip the oil filter, on the next aisle is a for sale sign.

Fram PH30. No mileage annually, and that ballsless engine won't be putting the engine oil through any stress. wink

I know, but the oil filters are good for that OCI, carburetor notwithstanding--the oil is another matter (UOA is needed at some point), but at 12 hours per year an Ultra would last 5 years or more.

Can you post pictures of your Vette? I'm a big fan of stuff from the '70s.
