How far off you think Chevron Supreme is from being a Dexos 1 version 2 ? I bet it won't take much for it to meet spec.
Do you think it could meet spec if tested as is?
Is it not worth it to Chevron to pay for the lic and any more expenses in additives and base stock?
If you are making a semi might as well get the certification.

It's not. No conventional is on the list. Syn blend at a minimum. I've long wondered if there are some conventionals that COULD make the list? I believe PYB uses enough GTL to probably pass the Dexos testing regiment.

Unless you drive a T-GDi, and more specifically, a GM T-GDi, then i wouldn't worry about it.

+1
Unless you have a vehicle that requires dexos, Chevron Supreme will do just fine.
