I was very surprised to find my costco would install my DTD tires for their standard fee. I wonder if they will also do free rotations afterwards?

Their rotations are not "free". It takes at least two hours in some stores that are busy.

Of course if you have no where to go........

If he does indeed live in Boston, dropping a car off @ a service place and getting on with your day isn't an issue.

I had them recently install my oversized mud tire on a matching rim for my truck. No problems at all...15$ and I was out of there! Took an hour, I was on my way home thinking it would take a while and got the call.

Costco though told me they won't install oversized tires on my truck though. It is lifted with non stock wheels and they said they can't do it.

He may live in Boston, but there's no Costco in Boston. Everett is probably the closest one, also Waltham and Dedham. They're like Walmart, they don't have a store in the city. Those locations aren't really close to anything, would be a bit of walking to get anywhere or wait for a bus.

My local Costco will do it but only when they get free time from tire buying customers coming first. Basically you have to drop it off for they day because they will not actually schedule a dedicated appointment time to install customer provided tires. Also, the tires need to be new or like new. Anything with patches or plugs is a no go.

My local costco tire ctr is so [censored] busy I'm contemplating not buying tires there ever again. If u wait less than 2 hours at costco for a basic balance and rotate consider yourself lucky

Dang, Tire Barn is looking better and better.

Went there on a dead cold day. Took 20 minutes maybe for 5 tires.

Just got back from Costco and had my DTD tires from July installed. I went right at 10 am when they opened. There was already a 2 hour wait. When I picked up the car 2 hours later, there was a 3 hour wait. laugh

But I had no issues having them install my customer provided tires. No back of the queue nonsense. Got slotted right in with the people buying their overpriced stuff. $15 per tire. Didn't want to rock the boat and try to save $4 by disposing of tires myself, but probably could have saved $4 more, since my town accepts tires with the trash.

Not here. Discount tire mounts DTD tires for a discount. Same price as buying tires in store. Just show receipt.
