There should be a dedicated battery section. There's one for cabin air filters, so there should be one for batteries. There are so many battery threads.

I have a Deka fetish...

I have this same battery in my suv,(walmart) it's a 2011 battery, and works well...I have a 4 amp charger that I put on it every couple months or so for about an hour and a half to desulfate it...It's working good now but I'll be happy if it makes it through another winter...

How did you verify that your battery was sulfated? And how did you confirm the 4 amp charger did anything to help?

This could be a forum dedicated not only to car batteries, but consumer electronics batteries like alkaline, lithium, and rechargeable types as well.

IMO every battery question ever asked has been answered ad nauseum, but you get people who want their question answered.

And the answer always validates buying a new one or not buying one, the decision already made in OP's head.

What is interesting from a maintenance POV (and why these questions should be in the maint section) are those junky cars that only charge the battery for the first minute then float at 13 volts the rest of the drive. That's their engineering pitfall, and more specific to the car than the battery that's been cursed with it.

Good point about how certain cars are "charging" their batteries.

I do think you are right about what how the questions are asked.

I do think a separate battery section would be a good idea. But I can understand keeping it in the maintenance section. Either way there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on here with a lot of good insights to help people.

But if there is a specific battery section, it would be easier to find answers.

Maybe throw in some electric theory as well, such as building cables from welding cable or hot rodding an alternator.

I didn't and dont't know if is sulfated I'm just assuming because of age...I don't know if its doin any good? Some internet search's about battery's led me to do what I do with it...This is why a battery forum with lots of opinions could be benificial to all...
