Yes, that is a quality Dexron VI ATF. It will give you many miles with no problems, since it is licensed Dexron VI and formally approved by GM smile

Walmart's ST Synthetic multi ATF is probably rebranded Mag1 (in regions that get their ATF from WPP). They make a lot of the house brands and also Peak.

Supertech Dex VI is the same if not very similar and is cheaper. As long as it is certified for Dex VI you can be assured it is a good quality.

That caveat seems to be the key. STMVLV (low viscosity) made by WPP as noted very likely identical and carries GM licenses for GM Dex VI and Mercon LV. Guessing it's less expensive and more readily available than Mag 1. If one wants the Licensed product need to make sure it's the WPP made STMVLV though.

Topic covered well HERE.

Ended up ordering 12 quarts of this ;

https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/cast...ipped-_-General

Actually , I was shopping for full synthetic . However , I have read a couple of guys have recommended it in Chevy Cruze , which use the same transmission as our Sonic .

Thanks for the help , ;-)

many lubricants use synthetics in the formulation to meet a spec or certification DEX VI is one of them, so the brand matters little $$$$
