Founded in Pullman, Washington by Pavlo Rudenko, Ph.D. (CTO), TriboTEX offers a clean lubrication alternative. Proprietary nano-structure sheets are designed with specific functional properties on each side to solve important problems for a variety of consumer and industry stakeholders. Current formulations improve mechanical output by utilizing a self-assembling coating that simultaneously reverses wear and enhances lubricity. Having achieved traction through finalists placements in various business plan competitions (WSU, MIT, UW, LES, RICE, INW) and obtained funding from various institutions including the National Science Foundation (NSF), Department of Energy (DOE), Hydropower Research Foundation (HRF), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as well as private money from AutoDesk. TriboTEX has grown to develop a sophisticated istacated manufacturing process for scaled up manufacturing and shipping product for research institutions as well as industrial partners. Currently TriboTEX is pursuing industry partnerships that will allow sustained growth and continued success among target consumers markets. With a broad range of applications, smart protective film-forming formulations developed by TriboTEX can be added to currently available lubricating blends to offer valuable solutions for the automotive, industrial, and wind power sectors.

Wonder what their nano structure sheets are made of? Only one time application? Interesting product...thanks for sharing.

It got my attention because of the U.S. government and NASA being involved. I checked this out through Google and I can find reference to it so it looks like that holds up anyway.

Might just be snake oil but it does sound interesting...

I think an application is like $100 and it supposedly lasts for 40,000 miles ?!?

The information presented is very......let's say interesting and/or lacking. Such an revolutionary engineering marvel requiring crowdfunding also doesn't give me much confidence.

Excellent point. It does have me curious. Will wait and see what the oil Gods decide!

If is has nano particles and is the official additive of NASCAR, it has to be good.

There's a NASCAR logo on my behind.

I saw this on Amazon just on the small engine product.

https://www.amazon.com/TriboTEX-Oil-Additive-Treatment-Nanoparticles/dp/B076YLT36B

TriboTEX Oil Additive: Treatment for Engine Oil with Synthetic Magnesium Silicon Hydroxide (MSH) Nanoparticles for Small Engines

There are a few technical papers on the magnesium silicon hydroxide as a friction reducer on the web.

Unless the price drops by 80% I don't think I'll ever use it. At the current price the benefits don't give a positive return on investment.

I bought some on Indigogo when they were launching and judging the before/after UOA's I have it did nothing it would seem.
