Recently switched from Linux Mint MATE to Windows 10 and one thing I miss is the weather applet so I'm looking for a program to run on the desktop that displays the outside temperature in the task bar. Any suggestions?

Weatherbug does. It will even change colors is your area is under warning. A lot of the sites are public buildings so there may be one really close to you too.

switch back!!! linux for the win..
get cinnamon this time though. much better.

The exclamation mark inside a triangle icon is now gone; they had it up there to notify me of a bad air quality alert. I now have a sun icon. Tonight I'll get a moon icon. By the way, it's 71*F right now.

What version are you running? It looks like the latest version is just a live tile/app like similar to the built in weather app.
