Hi All,

I have a "Weed Eater Featherlight" 25cc 2 cycle, much like the one in the link below, which I will be converting to run on compressed air for my controls project. Have a quick question for you all:

When it is running properly on gasoline, approximately how fast will the engine be running at idle and at full throttle?

Thank you so much!

I'm guessing 7,000-8,000 rpm?
Maybe more. I know when the string breaks off, the RPM's get really, really high.

You can get small handheld tachometers for pretty cheap.

Curious - - why compressed air?
How do you plan to lubricate it?

My Echo trimmers are set to run around 2500 rpm low speed and 7500ish at high speed with fresh strings. As mentioned above, speed will increase as the strings get shorter.
