I know you said gallon, but they look like quarts?

I've never heard of this brand.

Do American cars like it?

Satin,
My apologies. I took the photo after I took the jugs up front.

The gallons are $3.37, the quarts were $0.85.

Dlundblad,
It doesn't carry any North American auto specs, and is a Japanese brand. Think Toyota, suburu, mitsu. Honda that doesn't call for the H-06 (I believe that's the right lettering) spec.

If it just calls for SN, I don't see why it would be an issue.

That said, I could be wrong. But $3.35 isn't a bad price to wrong over.

It's still $8.99 a quart/ $29.99 a gallon where I'm at. Thin oils don't sell as well in Florida compared to the north, so don't expect to see this at every location.

You may need to bring the oil up front and have the price checked at the register. Sometimes the store doesn't put the red tags out but the lower prices still come up in the system.

Idemitsu is just large company like Mobil, etc perhaps.

I just learned about the brand because we bought our first Subaru and are changing out all of the fluids and it calls for the Idemitsu ATF for the 4EAT transmission. Repackaged for Subaru the ATF version is like $11 on some sites but on eBay it is like $5.25 per quart in a case of 12. All I know about it is what Subaru calls for in the 2010 Forester owners manual. I have done a pan drain for now but will come back an do a total change out per the Subaru bucket flush methods on Youtube. In the meantime I want the 3.5 quarts and Archoil AR9100 cocktail to do all the cleaning possible. For some reason the Subara folks seem to like all kinds of lube cocktails.

I am using the WM Super Tech 75-90 GL5 gear oil with AR9100 mixed per label in the differentials for a cleaning flush ((107K miles on the car) but the Motul 300 for the final fill (perhaps spring) has been ordered.

How do they get the oil containers to sit sideways like that?

Magnets?

This 1000 times.

In the southeast, there's a deal on Quaker state and a filter.

The prices on the shelf are either completely removed, or showing the normal
retail price.

They still rang up at $6.45 (hm), $8.45 (synth), and $9.06 (conventional)

It's the TBN! Anything over 20, with moly above 10,000 will easily mount sideways on shelving.

(I uploaded from my phone, and editing was closed by the time I got to my laptop)

Yes I know at times that's a issue at my local Wally World store and the shelves are never marked clearly.

I figured it might have to do with the oil/filter combo. When they ring them up together, perhaps the computer adjusts the prices to match the $ on the combo sale, and overrides the clearance sale.
