I went online to Advance Auto, AutoZone, Pep Boys, Rock Auto, and Amazon. I have a choice of Master brake cylinders, which one would be best - Cardone, Dorman, Raybestos, Carquest, Beck Arnley, AAP own brand?

Raybestos is generally the higher quality of those listed.

Is a new MC from the dealer not an option?

OEM if you can afford it. I think much of the aftermarket is the same. If your car uses Aisin, ATE or TRW/Lucas you can find those in the aftermarket.

I have a Cardone Select on a friend's truck. No problems... yet. And if so, I'll wearily try AC Delco GM OE even though that division of GM who supplied the MC(Delco Moraine) is no more and it might also be made in China.

I put a BrakeBest (O'Reilly house brand) new master cylinder on an Escape (not mine) and that works well. If you go rebuilt it's Cardone - ick. Avoid Dorman as well.

OEM from an online Acura dealer, list $186, discounted to $136, plus maybe shipping?

From an auto parts store, low $40s.

Hard to justify $100 more as I believe both will stop the vehicle.
