Kinda useless today. Systems are so small an ac machine is the only way to go.

Neither are actually sold by WalMart.. those are sold by third parties who sell on walmart.com.

The gauges are probably OK. I would have doubts that the vacuum could hold 500mb.. but who knows.

3rd party. Both are cheaper from harbor freight or ebay. The gauge set has junk ends. Get one with the screw on couplers. Suggest a 2 stage vac pump.

60+" screw on couplers. what i suggest you look for. ebay has best prices.

If you want to service an A/C properly you will need a way to remove and store the refrigerant, evacuate the system, check for leaks and then fill by weight.

Now if you have a slow leak in an older car, you can dump a can of R134a every once and awhile. If you stay away from stop-leak you should be OK.

HF are $60 https://www.harborfreight.com/ac-r134a-manifold-gauge-set-62707.html

Same style ends. Not sure what you mean by screw on couplers. Hoses screw to manifold and to quick disconnect fitting. Quick disconnect goes to ac fitting.

I have one for R-12 only, it is very old. I grabbed one after having Trav give it the two thumbs up. Just one use will cover the cost and them some.

OP- thanks for posting.

I have one of those pumps. Got it off Amazon. Works great and pumps to 30"Hg easily.
