Is there interest in a virgin UOA of Mobil1 AP?

Has anyone done it yet? Thinking about sending Blackstone 3 samples of 0W20, AFE EP and the new-ish AP that now costs $40 at Walmart.

Is it worth it to get the TBN number too on virgin samples?
 
Sure, they tell one tiny piece, but without that tiny piece, UOAs lose a pile of their utility. There's a reason to get a VOA of a batch before using that oil in a trended analysis.

Agreed. If someone is doing UOAs, then it's good to have a VOA as a baseline to understand whether certain elements found on a UOA came from the original oil or from the engine.
 
Yes, not to mention oxidation numbers which get everyone in a tizzy when Red Line is used.
