So, this Diesel engine oil filter is off of my dads new to him 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins Turbo diesel pickup. 56,669 on truck also. Judging by the NAPA Quick change sticker; Valvoline 5w40 and this filter were in and on for 9,xxx miles

Dads retired but him and his brother putz around with heavy equipment and their old Farmall tractors smile

My dads kinda like me; we put in DELO 5w40 and a DONALDSON filter I snagged from Rural King for $13

Enjoy the pictures smile

looks like it did just fine, but I hear good things about those donaldson filters.

I urge people not to wait 100K to change out the fluid in their transfer case units. -Kestas

Yep. Used diesel oil usually looks like that.

And does not take long to get that dark. I have seen diesel engine oil turn black in 1000 miles. Just shows that you can't go by engine oil color for how good the oil is.

Filter looks good.

This is true. My dad had his own heavy equipment land clearing/site work/etc. company, and I changed many of the machines oil and filters. The oil was black after running for a few minutes.
