Anyone else experience this nonsense yet? No notification whatsoever that rebate was denied. Additionally, the link to their rebate checker from the email gave the wrong status indicating the rebate was "scheduled for synchronization". I also never receive any snail mail or email indicating there was a problem.

When I went and checked the rebate from their site directly, I find this nonsense:

Status Descriptions

We were unable to match the invoice number you submitted with a transaction in our records. This does not mean you are not eligible. It does mean that you will need to mail or fax your invoice and completed rebate form to us for verification.

I find that rebates tend to be hit and miss. Some companies do well with them, and others not so much.

Maybe that befrugal website that you over hyped on here had something to do with it. Plus something sounds out of place upstairs for calling them [censored] Coopers. Then going ahead and buying them. Weird.

If you gonna sign up with befrugal, use my referral link and you get extra $10.

+1 on BeFrugal -- went that route as well

Curious what Cooper tires did you purchase and in what size? Certainly nice price!

I got the CS5 touring - not the soft rubber version, but the hard rubber. The CS3 is a bit older that gets bad reviews. The CS5 gets good reviews. $17 back confirmed on be frugal. My net price is actually $135 + $60 more to install at costco, gets me in under $200 for new tires all around.

use my befrugal referral link

So what they are saying is you need to print out the rebate form and fill it out and then send it in with the receipt (invoice).

I'll call them up and get it straightened out tomorrow. But the silence is deafening from them, and I'm very surprised they are pulling this rebate processing nonsense given the great reviews they got here.

They are being reasonable in wanting the invoice or copy to verify you actually bought the tires. Ed

I'm not a fan of rebates and usually don't bother with them, but DT is one I have used a few times and never had an issue. They're giving you the opportunity to resubmit it, so I would resubmit.

They haven't denied it. You can submit the info they are looking for (which to be honest is what virtually every other rebate is looking for - a copy of the invoice/receipt).

Before going off that the rebate has been denied, follow through on the opportunity to submit the correct information to get it.

I've used the B&M stores multiple times, and have had good results, but decided to order from DTD this time, and the experience hasn't been nearly as good.

They seem to operate like an entirely different company, which they technically are, but not impressed, nonetheless.

My case is still pending, but when companies don't fulfill their promises, become unresponsive, and force the customer to become proactive, they shouldn't expect every customer to just roll over. This one won't.

They did that exact same [censored] to me! I called them and asked what the deal was. Said well we accepted your rebate should be there in 6-8 weeks.

That's how the rebate game works. Their models anticipate only 'X' percent of rebates will be approved. When 'X' doesn't materialize and is running high, they resort to this type of nonsense. For those that call in, you oftentimes get approved over the phone. If you are willing to play the game, you can get good deals.

Never had an issue with DT rebates and I've done a bunch. By far the best and easiest rebates I do.

The only issue I've ever read on bitog before is a difference 'once', between a rebate offered at online DTD and one offered at b&m DT during a promo.

All that said, looks/reads like their just looking for some additional information to verify the rebate.

And thanks to SatinSilver for posting relevant//pertinent information about additionally going through an outside rebate company, befrugal for the "[censored] Copper" tires. That may (or not) well be a factor in the current discrepancy.

I have not had any issues. But you cannot be late.

I had a $75 card and used it at BJs for a $135 order and the register did not say owed anything more. Have not figured that one out. The cashier realized it but said "works for me". So I walked out.
