I know Mercury Marine has been selling their Quicksilver brand of oils for years and dealing with the smaller displacement marine 2 and 4 strokes
has probably given them some good insight into what additive packages to use to make their oils work right.
Does anyone have any experience with using their 20-50 synthetic in the Harley V-twin engines like the 883 and 1200 Sportsters?
Engine oil in the Sportsters is separate from tranny and clutch oil.
The oil is rated at JASO MA/MA2.
I have used the synthetics and semi-synthetic for years in my personal 4 wheel vehicles, including a turbocharged 1835 T1 VW running a dry sump in the dunes, but haven't tried it yet in the 2 wheelers.
Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.
