I found a jug I forgot I had of M1 10W30 EP (less than two years old and sealed) . OCI per the manual with 5 qrt. sump is 7,500 . I normally run M1 5W30 (non EP) , PPPP 5W30 or Valvoline 5W30 Synthetic for 6,500 to 7,500 miles with a Fram Ultra filter (about 50% h'way and 50% suburban driving ) ... I know the M1 EP synthetic oil has better base stocks - I don't expect to go 15,000 miles on it but would like to think I could go 9,000 to 10,000 miles on it ... Your thoughts with '07 Kia 3.8L V6 with M1 10W30 EP ?

Yes you could go 10k miles. Since you used quality oils before - I believe your engine should be spotless inside. So 10k should be very doable. And Huyndai/Kia engines seem to run best on 10w30 oils anyways.

Yes , this vehicle has only seen synthetic oil 5W20 to begin since about 30,000 miles (4,000 mile OCI's on PYB before that ) then switched to various synthetic oils (mostly 5W20 then 5W30 for the longer 6,000 to 7,500 mile OCI's ) , so engine should be very clean inside . 191,000 miles on it now and doesn't burn any oil - no make up oil on any OCI's I listed . This Kia 3.8L V6 does have a timing chain so not sure if that makes a difference in OCI (owner's manual goes to 7,500 mile OCI recommendation for normal driving ) ... Thanks !

You probably could, but why?
EP is normally a couple of bucks or less more a jug than other M1 flavors although I really can't see any reason that it should be.
If you peruse the UOA sub-forum, you'll find that EP is not always and everywhere a 15K oil in any event.
If this engine has lasted this long and exhibits no timing chain rattle and uses no oil, I'd say that you've done something right with oil selection as well as drain intervals.
Why change now?

No not yet ...
