Hi all!
Running down some weird steering noise, shudder, clunking & shimmy in low speed 90 degree turns only.
How sensitive are late model GM FWD racks to Power Steering Fluid exchanges or lack thereof?
The book shows it to be messy and awkward. Last year I just sucked out the pump
and replaced that fluid and will do again several times expecting some fluid exchange from
the rest of the system eventually.
(Yrs back got a free rack for ex-wife's '86 Buick Skyhawk, due to GM wide "morning sickness" on
cheapening them out! Funny story after all that, 2 yrs later car committed suicide when engine bay
wire harness caught fire while parked! Sad!)
