First oil analysis on my Burg...~18,000 miles on the bike, about 2600 on the oil. Oil was Maxima 10W-40 MC (JASO MA2) oil.

First: Blackstone's comments...

This a fine first look at your Burgman scooter. Universal averages show typical wear results for this
type of Suzuki motor with oil run ~2,200 miles. Using those as a reference, you've got metals reading either
at the same level or lower, and that shows internal parts that are getting along well together. The only
(minor) issue here is a low viscosity, but that's not uncommon for engines like these and it clearly hasn't
caused any trouble, so no worries there. No fuel or coolant was detected and insolubles (solid material)
measured at just a trace. Nice report!

I might switch to 15W-40 in the future, due to shearing.

That's the plan. The engine is a super-high revver...if not idling, it's over 3500RPM and usually 5000+. It spins 7000+ on the highway, and redlines at 9200. Also, it only holds about 1.25 quarts. (There is no wet clutch.)

[censored], that oil got destroyed - 8.74 cst makes it a 20. But it could just be that this particular oil is more shear-prone. And the small sump capacity doesn't help.

I'm not too familiar with the Burgman, does it use a belt CVT?

Definitely try the 15W-40. Or even a monograde 40 if it's not going to see freezing starts.

Yes: belt and roller CVT, like a snowmobile.

I used to run synthetic: unfortunately, it drank it. (For some reason, not that unusual on B400s.) Next change will be with 15W-40, probably Rotella.

I ran rotella T6 in my Burgman, you right, it drank it. I switched to T5 15w40 and consumption went way down.
