I paid through the nose yesterday filling up at a new station I like to go to which is shell and they compete with the station across the street. They must have agreed on a price, because it was like 40 cents higher than normal. Anyways later that day I drove by my local has station and it was the opposite. Diesel was 2.05 and gas was 2.45. One thing i have always noticed is stations always have diesel, but are always out of gas.

Obviously it's because their are more has vehicles than diesel, so is that why diesel is cheaper? I was okay with the higher price, I just went to a station further inland that was up higher

The diesel could be old and a new fill will increase that price soon

Gas here is $2.79

The Mobil station at the end of my street is charging $2.59 for gas and $2.59 for diesel, as of this morning.

2.49 fuel and 2.55 for gas in my area in MN. I filled with fuel on Saturday and was 2.39, gas 2.40
Nymex gas went almost down to pre Harvey earlier this week after the refiners started backup with minimal damage at most.

Diesel will likely go up soon, like others said they probably haven't filled up yet.

I passed a few stations here where regular 87 was $2.98 with cash.

Range for diesel around KC Metro is 2.29 to 2.77.
Range for unleaded regular is 2.31 to 2.69.
Kansas side tends to be higher, even though taxes are about the same now.

I don't think any gas station has ever waited until the new fuel was in the tanks to raise the price.

Diesel in Tampa was 3.35 and climbed to 3.69+ after Houston was hit and is not droppiing.

Gas sold out over 60% of my local area. Dissel still available.

No doubt gassers just tend to panic while diesel drivers don't.

A big chain I am aware of has the company stores connected to headquarters on the internet, and prices are set from there.

How many of those waiting in line at FL stations are also filling gas jugs? The demand is just stripping the normal use by double. Watched noon news and showed tanker trucks being escorted by police and NG. If they limited everyone to 10 or so gallons the issue probably would deminish

PFTT!

You have it easy!

Prices while i passed a gas station close to my work:
Regular: $2.99
Diesel: $3.29

...and this is just Cook County!.

For Chicago proper add $.40-$.60

No kidding. Lol plus that gives them the money to buy the more expensive fuel

As a Canadian, all this complaining about US gas prices has me

until someone from the EU chimes in. Just filled up in upstate NY, was like getting free gas.
