Serpentine belt?

The biggest issue first off is he does not say who made the belts or their age.

Older belts would crack like that on the left. Newer belts are made from EPDM and rarely crack even after they are worn out. That and just because a belt does not have cracks does not mean its good.

How long do you run your serpentine belt for?? I went 150k miles on my OEM belt. Changed it out with another OEM belt.

I've had an original serpentine belt stretch to the limit of the tensioner after 60K/11yrs. It had no cracks.

Not a fair comparison between old rubber and EDPM

And as it sits... The "good" belt he's bragging about is worn out. It's down to the cords
