Picked up a 98 Accord for a winter driver. Sitting in this guy's yard for a year. 197k miles on it, 4 cylinder with a 5 speed. It needed a brake line, CV shaft, ball joints and tie rods. Virtually rust free. Car was originally sold in Texas. Changed the oil when I got it and it burned a quart in 1500 miles with 5w30. Changed it with a jug of GTX 20W50 and it burned a quart in 1200 miles.

Changed the pcv valve yesterday and it was all oily behind the valve and so was the vacuum line. Think I found the culprit there. I changed the oil today with Castrol 5w30 HM. I'll keep an eye on it. Other than needing a timing belt in the future and it NEEDS a valve adjustment it runs great! Here's some pics I snapped today:

Looks good enough for a winter car! Hopefully the new PCV cures your consumption issue.
