Anyone here using Joe Gibbs Driven Motor Oil, especially if you have flat tappets or any other hi-po 1960's/70's engine. Any opinions?

Why would you want oil that has already been Driven? whistle

It looks like it is made by Lubrizol. And I can not find any specs on it.

I used Joe Gibbs Driven LS30 in my Camaro a few years ago, and have no complaints about it. You can get specs on their oil if you e-mail them. I got a spec sheet for LS30 directly from Lake Speed Jr. I classify JGD as boutique oil up there with Redline, AMSoil, and Motul. They make some very stout oils that are very shear resistant.

Good stuff. Was always an alternative to VR-1 for serious motors laugh
Formerly in marine engineering. In an earlier life I owned my own petroleum tank truck, and hauled for the majors and independent's.

Just costly, though. wink VR-1 up here (20w-50 only, unfortunately, at our Walmarts) is actually cheaper than most regular conventionals. Joe Gibbs is a touch harder to find, to say the least.
Plain, simple Garak.
