Amber Alert from Omaha

[Yah-Tah-Hey]

NOAA weather radio just came on with an Amber alert for four children, age 14 to 6, male and female, kidnapped in Omaha. Man and woman driving a beat up white Cavalier. Direction unknown. BITOG members in Omaha and surrounding area watch for vehicle fitting description. Hope this alert ends like most Amber alerts with children found safe.

Amber alerts can be extremely annoying...

I turned them off on the smartphone.

9 out of 10 were at 1am-4am when I am sleeping.

First off I'm sleeping with do not disturb turned on...

Next I'm not even close to the event usually 150-250miles away.

I get that amber alerts(kids) are important but I've been woken up sometimes 3-4x in one night from the same amber alert repeating... THROUGH DO NOT DISTURB.

They want to put it on normal hours, TV, radio etc that all makes sense.
Waking up a million people 3x in a night that arent within hours of. the. event. no sense.
