Do any of you grease the contact points on the splash shield where the brake shoes rub? If so, what grease do you use?

Yup as mentioned anti seize. Been doing it for years i usually kncok the junk off them with a wi4re wheel or brush and then paint with a light but complete coat of anti seize. I also co.pletely coat the threads on the adjuster with anti seize, the parking brake arm contact points and the grooves on the hat of the wheel cylinder rod.

Either brake grease or white lithium grease is what I use. Just on the rub marks on the backing plate.

I use one of these two products that are recommended for metal to metal applications:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-OEM-Honda-Moly-Paste-M-77-Assembly-Paste-Grease-08798-9010-Update-60-/111606978388?hash=item19fc4b5754:g:WAsAAOSwNSxU7OgC&vxp=mtr
or
https://goodson.com/products/bpl-2400-pastelub-brake-lubricant

Both are tenacious high solids "paste". There is less oil to evaporate, separate, run off, or collect dust. And, its my opinion that the solids boundary lubrication gets burnished into the metal to keep some lubrication after the oil component dissipates. They both state that they are brake safe, but we know how that goes.

I use the second product in paper thin layers on all kinds of applications (vehicle, ag., grounds, etc.) to prevent rust. Hubs, rotor hats, gate hinges.....it seems to be extremely tenacious against water wash off.

A thin coat of plain old blue wheel bearing grease.
