I just found out today the trans in my 2017 Fusion is a 6FMR which is code "W" under the trans TR code, and the ATF required is Mercon LV.
1) Does anyone have experience with this trans?

2) Any unusual problems with it?

3) How long has this trans been out?
4) When did Ford stop using the 6F35 in the Fusion?
So far this trans upshifts and downshifts very smooth.

Thanks for any input.

Could be. I did notice that the drain plug and fill tube seems to be in the same place as the 6F35 according to the videos I have seen. Good idea about asking bdcardinal.

Is there any known difference between the 6FMR in Tig's 2017 Fusion and our 2017 2.3 EB Explorer with the 6F35? I believe Fusions previously used the 6F35 transmissions also. On the spec tag on the driver's door frame our transmission code is 6, which is the 6F35 according to the owner's manual. Our 2017 Explorer was built in Oct 2016, if that makes a difference.
