Anyone know where to get it for a decent price? I used to be able to get it on amazon for around $14 but when I checked yesterday they had stopped supplying it.

Same as the Wix kit, really. Same labs. In my experience, it's cheaper and easier to just walk in to a NAPA store and get one than buying online. Some stores may not have them in stock potentially but I believe they should be able to get them within a day or two.

My local NAPA store does not stock them, but they will order no problem. NAPA runs the 10% off very often, so wait until then to save some money. $13.49 plus tax out the door is pretty dang good, and that includes TBN.

What's the status quo on NAPA vs Blackstone? Threads I see on the topic were last updated in 2012 like this one: Napa/Wix vs Blackstone

I want to do my first oil analysis and $14 vs $28 is the deciding factor for me to try the NAPA analysis.

Unless Blackstone is $14 better?

@Dumc87

Napa/Wix's kit includes TBN. Blackstone's does not (they charge extra)

Is the TBN worth the long turnaround? I'm looking to just set a base for how my Matrix is doing. Seems to be running like a 10k mileage car not one that's 65 miles from hitting 100k. Hope I'm not being duped! LOL

I don't know if the W/NG lower price and TBN is worth the noted slower turnaround, guess that's an individual decision.

And while Wix/Napa includes TBN, unlike BlSt it doesn't include %Fuel. So if you're interested in checking for fuel dilution that may be a consideration.

kit does not include shipping to Wix, who knows what that costs and if the post office has a conniption over shipping a container of oil or not.

Put it in a padded envelope, put adequate postage on it, drop it in a blue box. It will get there.
