Always good to score on an older tool that you can put to good use.

I have an older one from maybe the 1960's.
Left Spindle - Grinding Wheel
Right Spindle - Wire Wheel

I have a 50 year old plus Craftsman floor drill press. Still runs as good as when the family got it in the 60's. Don't mind a bit of age as most of the stuff was built in the USA
Your new to you grinder will do great job of sharpening tools and bits

Very nice. They are great machines. They are known as the Craftsman block grinders. There are a few threads over at garagejournal.com about them.

Heh heh I found mine at the dump, 25 yrs ago. I mounted it and use it to wire wheel anything I can fit against the brush. The even older one I use for grinding is a Taiwanese model that works great

I was too lazy to take the one my FIL had when he passed away. We ended up leaving it with the house, I'm still kicking myself! I did take a bunch of his tools and put them to good use. The grinder would have been a perfect addition to basement shop.

Bought one of those at a garage sale last year.Don't recall the name of the manufacturer for craftsman though.Mine was late 70's.
