I was driving my wife's 2016 Ford Escape today when I noticed my right foot was freezing despite the HVAC 'air distribution control' knob being in the straight ahead position...I discovered that the air from the main (straight ahead) vent on the passenger side was full force but on the drivers side it was 50/50 straight ahead/footwell vent. The vehicle is still under warranty so I'm not concerned about that but my question is whether fixing this involves taking the dash apart or is it just a cable adjustment. (the knob position right before 'straight ahead' is 'straight ahead/footwell' so I'm thinking it's stuck in that position on the drivers side only). Thanks guys.

That's what I feared.

That's for sure.

I notice they list 2 different "climate Control Housing" part #'s....one for an Escape with R-134A refrigerant...I didn't think any other refrigerant was currently in use?

There may be some built with R-1234yf, likely not in the US market though.
