I thought some of the gearheads here might enjoy listening to the live broadcast from the Salt Flats, of Speedweek 2017.

I was out there over the weekend, visiting with and helping some friends run.

For those that don't know, Speedweek is a Landspeed Racing event. Seeing some of the faster streamliners come past at over 400 mph, is quite a sight for anyone that likes high-performance.

On Saturday I watched the Challenger II roar past at 439 mph, with Danny Thompson driving. Unfortunately on their return run yesterday, they broke a connecting rod in the front engine.
