Donaldson P550008 filter for passenger car?

I was searching for a filter without wrench flats to replace a Motorcraft Fl-1A and found cross reference to a Donaldson P550008. Looking at the Donaldson spec it states 'Efficiency 99%: 40 MICRON
Efficiency Test Std: SAE J1858' I am used to seeing 98.7% efficiency @ 20 microns using ISO 4548-12. Is the Donaldson filter suitable for use in passenger car?

It would work, it's just a standard cellulose media filter, nothing special (no synthetic nor blend), that's why the efficiency is low.
