this sounds dumb, but I am an older and heavier guy. I usually wear slip on shoes...no laces. I have boots (from Galls) that lace up but also zip up on side. Are there any speed lace kits where a quick jerk secures the laces readily? I really hate bending over and trying to tie shoes and hope they stay. And there are some nice looking shoes that are lace only. Thanks!

google and there are a ton of options. many use some bungee in the laces and a locking device.

I use these laces for triathlons. They are elastic enough to put on easily but secure enough to hold your foot in. It takes a couple times of wearing them to adjust them correctly but I've had them in daily wear shoes for over a year and they held up fine.
