I've never heard of 'Triad' but they claim that this oil "exceeds SN performance requirements by as much as 65%" and it also claims to be "moly enriched"....sounds pretty good for $4.50 a quart. If those claims are legitimate, this could be a very good oil....

I can find their website but no physical address of any kind. I would guess they are just repackaging some one else's products. I don't see a starburst or energy conserving donut on any of their labels. run forest run

"Over 800 PPM MoDTC Molybdenum and max API allowed ZDDP content deliver un-paralleled engine hot section and turbo protection."

Holy Oranometallic contents Batman.

I would get a sample first and analyze it as it could be a CAT killer.

Milesyn is good stuff and has been vetted by PQIA. This Triad stuff gives me a Sinopec vibe and molaKule is correct that it has a LOT of moly.

Thanks guys. I was thinking it sounded pretty cheap, I'll have to send them a e-mail and see what I can find out. I'm trying to choose an oil for my high mile Jeep I thought I had it narrowed down to Royal Purple and Ansoil but then I saw these guys.

No, this is not a re-branded oil. Its proprietary formulation with both Moly and Boron. In the Ebay listing, you have a couple of pictures that have the spec sheet with the the chemical properties and additive content % . weight, etc. Its the third picture.

We have been in business for 17 years, mostly doing high performance custom fluids for commercial and military applications. Essentially stuff you do not find in stores or any major brands, like 10k hours hydraulic oils, friction modified oils, arctic motor oils, missile hydraulic oils that wont freeze at 100,000 feet up in the air, etc. In 2013 our owners decided to launch branded products that contain a lot of these formulations and basically sell them direct. Our fluids are very heavily modified / boosted, far beyond mass market / generic products so extensive sign offs are required to bring each one to the mass market and takes time. Each one is however, exceptional. We sell direct and as a result, we can offer excellent prices.

Regards,
Mark

^ THIS.

Why risk trying an oil that hasn't been tested by the PQIA? I bought 12 quarts of Milesyn synthetic-blend 5w-30 off Amazon for $14.08 and free shipping near the middle of June. Running 5 quarts of it in our Camaro at the moment. Unfortunately I think I bought the last of that deal. But you can get:

5 gal pail 5w-20 synthetic-blend for $38.25
https://www.amazon.com/Milesyn-Synthetic-Blend-Motor-Gallon/dp/B00YUKM5AE/

Or:

5 gal pail 0w-20 full synthetic Dexos1 for $65.42
https://www.amazon.com/Milesyn-Dexos1-Synthetic-Motor-Gallon/dp/B00YUKMLWQ/

Or, if you want to use eBay:

5 gal pail 5w-20 full synthetic Dexos1 for $64.71
