apologies if i've chosen the wrong forum. this is off a '15 ninja 1000 @ 600 miles. ignore the "hesitation marks," this was my first- i used an exhaust pipe cutter.
manual recommends first oc at 600 miles, then 7k miles (or 1 year) thereafter.

I bet the bottom of drain pan sparkled. What oil and filter for replacement.

Good looking filter. Sad to see it made in China though. I always assumed Tokyo Roki did the OEM kawasaki filters.

The Kawi filter looks quite similar to the Mitsubishi oem filter, including the color of the adbv and bypass design. Difference, the Mitsu shown in this thread is Thai made as opposed the China coo here. Otherwise, construction fairly typical of no endcap type.

Thanks for the pics.

my blue drain pan is well used and never completely cleaned out, so i can only imagine. used oem kawasaki organic 10w40 and their filter.

ACK! i meant to include that data: worn away in the mess from cutting, was DENSO fwiw.

I guess China is underbidding everyone, even Denso outsources their Thai made oil filters to China. No wonder China is against TPP, they want it all.

Most of that was off of the clutch, I've seen a lot worse from bikes with a wet clutch. Good looking filter.
I would not run the oil for 6k miles without a uoa saying the oil was good at those miles.

Nice.

Agreed. This is how all filters should be made in my opinion.

I see you're cleaning up the big mess caused by the idiots at Photobucket. Thanks!

Does PB allow the pic to show up once the ransom is paid?
