I know they recommend a non detergent oil for water pump bearing lube because of persistent water intrusion.

So on an engine that has the same issue of persistent small amounts of coolant intrusion, what if anything can I do.

Non detergent oil apparently has no wear additives either. Is this correct?

Does zddp react with coolant? If not, I could use ND oil and add zddp to make my own custom formula.

I'm wondering about a marine oil as well but don't want to spend a lot.

I don't care about detergents as the engine is clean as a whistle.

Glycol reacts strongly with oil additives like sulfonates, phenates, and ZDDP.

You can ignore me and go to MachineryLubrication.com and do some searching. I do know that even very small amounts of glycol leaking into lubrication oil will destroy the oil kill an engine in short order. One of the most important things you can do for expensive engines is to test for glycol in the engine oil and if found, fix it right away.
