That was really interesting.

It's amazing to see people keep old skills like that alive!

Reminds me of the Old Ranger, played by Stanley Andrews.

What's the treadwear rating on that wheel?

Didn't know that there was so much work involved making wheels like that. Pretty labor intensive.

That was really interesting,
but
with all the new technology (lathe, turning, fork-lifts, clamps, etc)
It was kind of cheating big time
(i managed to see a barrel builder at work many years ago, as a tiny pup)

I hope they don't get busted by a rainbow unicorn lover for the big open fire in front of the business....

My hat/baseball cap off to them for the big balls of playing with wood, metal and fire....

Iron-rated?

It wears like iron?

Great video clip / I watched the whole thing.
This fits in nicely with the 'old' Westerns I like watching at dinner time.

Now I know why on old Westerns they always had wagon-wheels laying around the Town or Ranch.
To much work went into them (I'm sure they could always be repaired)
And they were good movie props.

I want to see these artisans make something that's really interesting. To me, that is.

Make a steam-powered traction engine!
Here's a photo of one: https://prestonservices.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/Fowler_7NHP_SC_TE_2.jpg

They succeeded the 20 mule teams for a short while before they too were phased out after WWI.
