This filter was off my real fathers friends E-250 van. I believe it's a 2012 model also.

Oil was Maxlife blend 5w30 also. Put another one of these filters on as dad has few of them in his stash with some Maxlife synthetic 5w30. Van has if I saw odometer correct; 223,559 miles on it. Enjoy the photos and filter looks well made

I'm guessing same folks that make Premium guard, Parts Plus and ecoguard, etc

I'm surprised this one has silicone ADBV

I thought I read these were now made in China filters? Not Wix, Champ, Puro or Fram though.
It is a different looking spring, not sure I have seen one like that.

Looks to be well made though, and I agree, surprising to find a silicone ADV.

7th pic down I tried to get decent pic of cross reference and "country of manufacturer"

Do you like these more than you liked the previous Hastings-made versions?

They used to be, but Hastings stopped doing private-label filters, according to this post from last year. The old Hastings-made Federated filters were the same as Casite, a little cheaper than actual Hastings-branded filters, with a little less media.

But now it appears they're Chinese, unfortunately.

Did not see it.
At least I have learned enough to spot them now.

No joke. That 2012 van puts more miles in a year than I have put on my 2012 Scion in 4.5 years.

Seconded on both. That media looks nice. But yeah, ratings would be welcomed.
