on my '01 Ranger, there is a rod that connects from the inside, to the outside door handle that allows you to open the door. it then connects to the latch through a hole with a bushing that the rod goes through. It must be wore out as the rod keeps coming out and i cant open the door from the outside. Does anyone know if I can buy the bushing by itself or will I need to buy a whole new latch? I've looked online and in parts stores with no success for the bushing.

Sometimes LMC is good for obscure little parts...

Good luck!

The clip might be sold at the dealer. Not sure about Ford's, but I've bought several ones for Toyota's

You would probably have the best luck going through a Mazda dealer. They keep aftermarket parts much longer than their Ford counterparts. That's basically my only good source for NOS products on obsolete shared Ford/Mazda platforms.

Any body shop should have that part, or know where to get one.

You can also try the wrecking yard.

D2VY-65219A38-B is the bushing that goes into the handle.

F57Z-1021952-B is the bushing/retainer on the LH latch.

F57Z-1021952-A is the bushing/retainer on the RH latch.
