Do all newer fps filters have the champ labs date codes on the top of the filter?

I've only ever seen the laser etched fram date codes on filters with dates from 2013.

They should have the same etched date codes as the Ultra. Fram has not been affiliated with Champion Labs since 2011.

Wouldn't the second photo be a filter made in December 2016? In any case I think the FPS filters are one of the best values around.

Dunno, but Motorking had posted Fram & Champion Labs would still have a mutual aid arrangement after the Frampion breakup. Could be they have Champion Labs make some filters while Fram has equipment down for major maintenance. Or could be like Fram air filters with some models now permanently outsourced for manufacture (for example, the CA9401 & TGA9401 since 2015 - before the Frampion breakup).
